The Science
Behind the Plan

RAD Exercise Physiology was founded on one principle: exercise is medicine, but only when it's prescribed correctly.

Who I Am

Rob —
Clinical Exercise
Physiologist

I hold an MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology and work exclusively with people managing chronic health conditions — hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and mental health.

I started RAD because I saw the same pattern over and again: people were told to "exercise more" by their GP but given no clinical guidance on what that actually means for their condition. Generic advice doesn't cut it when medication, disease pathology, and individual physiology are all in play.

Every programme I write is grounded in peer-reviewed evidence and tailored to the individual — not a template.

How I Work

Evidence First

Every exercise prescription is based on peer-reviewed clinical guidelines — not trends, not general fitness templates.

Condition-Aware

Medications, disease progression, and individual physiology all shape how someone should exercise. I account for all of it.

Joined-Up Care

I work alongside GPs and other healthcare professionals, not in isolation. Progress reports are designed to be shared.

Honest Expectations

Exercise is powerful — but it has limits. I'll always give you an honest picture of what's realistic for your situation.
